Our biggest worry sailing off was getting enough milk for the kids — 3.5 gallons a week, and no fridge space for it. So we tried dried milk. Straight up, the kids rebelled. But mixed into pancakes and waffles? A total hit — they preferred it. We do dried eggs too now. Bonus: shelf-stable milk isn't half bad, as long as you serve it cold.
